Hopelessly Heather

I banged out Monday in Avon’s Modern Woodlands Earrings.  These (lucky?) horseshoe shaped earrings are a medium weight – not as heavy as I anticipated, but not light either. Definitely pretty and interesting. The hanging part moves freely and sometimes slips so it gets hung up with the ball near the post. However, it only happened twice during the entire day I wore them, so it wasn’t a never ending annoyance.

Classic black, white and RED! On Tuesday I showed off Avon’s Maroon Contemporary Beads Necklace and Earring Set from their NEW Fall for Paris collection and pictures do not do this set justice! The beads are glossy, so any light that’s around makes them SPARKLE! They are super dazzling and the deep maroon color screams “I PAID A TON FOR THIS”! Add some red to your jewelry collection – your boring black and white palettes will thank you!!

I was feeling très sophistiqué in Avon’s Pearly Parisian Statement Necklace and Pearly Parisian Fringe Earrings!  So far, j’adore the new Fall for Paris jewelry – it’s so sophisticated and classy…totally my go-to style! While these pieces are in the same collection, I feel as though the necklace is significantly fancier than the earrings. The earrings seem much more casual. Luckily, the dress I wore with them on Wednesday was on the casual side, so the pieces together struck a great balance. Not sure whether I’d wear these pieces together again though – the necklace DESERVES to be the star! Simple stud pearls may very well accompany it the next time around!

My love affair with Avon’s Fall for Paris collection continued on Thursday with a look that featured the Raina Stripe Top, Deep Red Autumn Romance Pendant Necklace & Deep Red Autumn Romance Drop Earrings!  If you haven’t felt the fabrics for the Fall for Paris collection’s clothes – you’re missing out! Such GREAT quality – and this top is no exception! It’s also fun, comfy and ADORABLE!

The necklace (one of a few freebies I got for the bajillions of other pieces I ordered from this collection) and earrings are nice but, honestly, compared to the crazy amazing pieces I wore earlier this week, they don’t perform at the same level of sophistication and classiness. As stand alone pieces outside of the collection they’re still sweet, I just don’t think they rise to the level the other pieces in the collection live at.

The love of Avon’s Fall for Paris line continue on Friday when I dragged myself into the office wearing the Avery Peasant Blouse and Diamondesque Choker Necklace – I may have been dead tired from a rough week, but I didn’t have to look it!

The peasant top is SUPER cute and comfy! I ought to actually break out an iron before I wear my demos, but I HAAAAATE ironing. So, y’all get to see my imperfect creased top. Maybe you wouldn’t have noticed the creases had I not pointed them out to you? Oh, well…

You know I had to get the choker! Unfortunately, I have a couple of gripes about it: (1) If you have a pencil neck like I do, the choker won’t be a choker. I had to jimmy rig it by TYING it into a knot in the back – luckily, nobody could tell it was all jacked up in the back since my hair covered it! (2) The adornment on the ribbon is too heavy for it and made it tip forward – again, it was a good thing I tied it tight…nobody could tell it wasn’t a perfect choker. End result: Pretty, but not my favorite to wear…and definitely WON’T wear if I’ve got my hair up. No worries though…I have a backup choker. Or 30. Ish.
