Hopelessly Heather

The ramblings and obsessions of a longtime Avon lady

For Mother’s Day, I pulled out ALL the stops in Avon’s Linda Halter Dress and Pearly Princess Necklace and Earring Set!

This dress is the best!  It’s stretchy all over so it’s perfect for taco night but you still look like a million bucks!  Polka dots are classic and are on trend right now, so you can’t go wrong – it’ll be a great dress to wear so you look “with the times”, but it’ll also outlast the trend because polka dots are always hip…especially when taking them retro!  While the dress is a tad on the long side for my taste (I’m a whopping 5’1”), I can still pull the length off with heels – I tend to show a bit more leg so I look taller though.  I opted to tie a ribbon sash around the elastic waistband to class it up a bit and go with my overall look, but it definitely can be left to its own devices – the top portion can be bloused too.  If you have been thinking about getting this one – don’t delay in pulling the trigger…it’s a winner!

The jewelry set paired so perfectly with the look, I couldn’t have planned it better myself (surprisingly, I hadn’t purchased these two items to specifically go together).  The necklace can actually be cinched up to be a choker (which you know I’ll be doing in the future) and pearl studs are always a hit!

Making deliveries and running errands in Avon’s Dazzling Blue Long Necklace and Earring Set before the sun turns back to rain!

I doubled up the double chain to make the length of the necklace work with the deep v-neck tunic I wore, though the necklace worn as intended is also beautiful. I do like the way the stones laid out in a more random pattern the way I wore the necklace. The blues in the stones of both the necklace and earrings are positively stunning – it’s darned near impossible to get a photograph that does them justice!

Popping out to run errands, make deliveries and hang out with a friend in Avon’s Tokens of Summer Natural Stone Necklace in Turquoise and Beautiful Drop Earrings in Aquamarine!

More pretty blue jewelry pieces – and, wow! The aquamarine earrings look like you’re staring into tropical waters! If you love stunning blues, neither of these disappoint!!

Those are all of the past week’s selfies! What was your favorite and how would you have worn it?!

  1. Girl, your killing in that dress!! I love the red gloves too, very classy and sophisticated. And those Aquamarine earrings are the bomb! Is the dress blue or black? It’s hard to tell because it’s a dark color.

Thanks – it was a fun outfit and photo shoot! The dress is black. 🙂

I didn’t expect the aquamarine earrings to be so blue! Real aquamarines are usually paler than that, so it was a surprise…but a happy one!

Girl you look GORGEOUS in the polka dot dress! Your accessorizing skills are on point too! Love all the red accents, you totally killed this look. And this, “it’s perfect for taco night but you still look like a million bucks!” is so hysterical yet totally crucial characteristic of an outfit, lol.

Aww, thank you! It’s always super fun when I dress retro. And that comment is TRUE! Being a stretchy dress, you can overeat and still be comfy!

  4. Wowza! What an outfit!
All the jewelry looks good, too, but I can’t deal with the ‘tangled’ necklace chains.
