These were all brilliant. I was all about Monday until I got to Friday. I love that one. Boundaries really do show up everywhere.

Right?! How are YOU doing?

I was very dissociated for much of December. Faking a connection to reality was hard. But I woke up today and I feel more here, so that’s good.
How are you? How did the holidays go for you?

I read your blog post about your new dog before this comment, so hopefully you are gearing up to be doing MUCH better than December!
I’ve been very emotional for the last month+—in (or on the verge of) tears. It’s been exhausting and frustrating that I have felt so out of control of my emotions and reactions. My daughter underwent an emergency c-section at the beginning of December, and my grandson was born 11 weeks early. Both he and my daughter are doing AMAZING, but I’ve been a raw mess. My son is currently in town visiting for the holidays (we always do our family holiday gathering in early January), and it’s been great having him home (and taking time off of work). All in all, I’d say I’m handling things as well as can be expected. ♥️

Congratulations Nana. I’m so glad your daughter and grandson are doing so well, and I absolutely appreciate the toll that must have taken.
One thing I notice about grief is that it makes me thinner in my resilience. I’m far more emotional. I find that frustrating as well.
How nice to have family together, especially with the new addition.
Day two with dog, all is good.

Oh Tuesday’s quote is so very true, I love it! I got your Christmas card and newsletter my friend. Thank you so much for thinking of me. I didn’t send any cards out this year, I had no motivation to do anything Christmas related I barely put up my decorations and tree. But then I got news that I got that job I interviewed for and I’m feeling so much better! I hope you had a Happy New Year Heather!!

It really is!
I put up a small tree at my mom’s house, but skipped my own this year. Too much to do and not enough time…
WOOHOO—congrats on the new gig!!! I hope it is THE job!!

After my mom had passed, we did just a small tree for a few years in a row. You just don’t ‘feel like it.’ But after a while, I realized what Christmas is all about and that my mom would be going all out celebrating it.

We’ll see how future years go, but I suspect this coming Christmas will be a big one—it will be my grandson’s first at home!

I’m all about the weekend quotes in this batch.
Saturday made me feel warm and fuzzy.
Sunday was a great reminder. I heard this before. Maybe even on your pages. Continues to be a great quote.

Very well could be a re-post…dupes are inevitable when quotes are posted every day for nearly ten years! 😲
