Hopelessly Heather

A few weeks ago, I entered one of Avon’s contests for reps.  We needed to post a photo of ourselves showing off Avon fashion products as a comment to their post and hashtag it appropriately.  I did it, then promptly forgot about it.  Fast forward to approximately 10 days ago and Avon announced that I was one of ten winners, out of hundreds of entries, y’all!!  A little over a week ago and I received my prize: the entire Fall for Paris jewelry collection valued at $400!  Could they have handpicked a better prize pour moi?!  
A day after receiving my prize which I, naturally, gushed all over social media about, I was invited to do a blog collaboration with Word of Alicia – I thought I was excited about the jewelry, but it paled in comparison with her invitation!  I did a little fangirling (that she witnessed), then later panicked at bit.   Her photos are seriously gorgeous and I’m a crappy cell phone selfie taker.   I needed to step up my photo game – time to call in the troops!

I called my mom on my way home from work to gush and beg her to help by taking photos for me.  Mom to the rescue!  ::whew::

We did the photo shoot on Monday.  She took a ridiculous 326 photos!  I pored over them late at night and managed to yank out 44 to go through the super time consuming post-production process so I could then pick my top dozen or so, type a few blurbs to go with them and send the whole kit and caboodle off so Alicia can work her magic.

I’m still working on the post-production of the photos but I figured I’d throw you all a teaser for what’s headed your way – let me know what you think!
