Hopelessly Heather

The ramblings and obsessions of a longtime Avon lady

Each Monday I gather up the daily QOTD (Quote of the Day) posts I made for the week that are usually inspirational, motivational or just plain funny. Unfortunately, my mom unexpectedly and suddenly passed away on May 4, 2024, so I’m stuck on grief for the time being. Those of you who have lost your mothers know. Sending you all my love…

  1. Oh my dear friend, I’m so sorry to hear you lost your mom last weekend. I have no words, because what can one say about losing a parent? It’s an experience no one wishes for, but in in Gods infinite wisdom, it touches our lives. I can’t believe it, and I hope that you are doing as well as you can be in this time. My deepest condolences Heather. Weds QOTD is my favorite.

Thank you. Tomorrow is the funeral—I’m trying to prepare myself mentally, but I know I’ll be a wreck. 💔

Wednesday is also my favorite. ♥️

I’m so sorry. This is a really difficult club. Monday feels the truest, and Thursday is love, but Wednesday made me cry a bit. Thank you for sharing these – I’m saving them all ❤️

The thing I noticed most was the time lag. The first couple of weeks I was busy with all that comes with death. But once all the wheels were in motion, you have time, and then it starts to sink in.

I know a breakdown will happen—I have cried a lot, but not really let myself wallow in it. There’s still too much to get done. I know it will hit with full force st some point.
