Says who? Welcoming and accepting ultimate failure to be able to move on from it doesn’t defeat rock bottom’s purpose. People define rock bottom a lot of different ways.

Friday’s QOTD definitely is the one I’ll go with. I’ve been there, and yes it hurts hitting rock bottom, but the climb back up is more interesting.
