Each Monday I gather up the daily QOTD (Quote of the Day) posts I made for the week that are inspirational, motivational, or just plain funny.
Many weeks my posts follow a theme, based on one or more key words that I’m currently experiencing in my life. This week’s key word is burnout. I’ve been fighting against it for a good long while (certainly the last two years, and perhaps even more), and I think it’s time to admit that I’m finally there. What does burnout look like to me? Lack of energy, motivation, excitement, and fight for nearly everything–I am exhausted. Absolutely everything in my life currently feels like a chore–including the things I generally love, and I am not at all pleased about it. It’s like the major areas of my life in which I’m burned out have stolen the joy from the corners of my life I was still able to eke some out. I’m not sure how to rebound from it, but you can bet that I will rebound from it in some way…and once I do, I’ll share how I dug myself out of this hole. Stay tuned.
