Playing catchup on the few selfies I took over the past six months–from early summer through Thanksgiving! A ton has happened and been experienced, including: attending two bridal showers and two weddings–for my bestie and my mentee; seeing Cirque du Soleil’s Alegria, Hadestown, To Kill a Mockingbird, and Jagged Little Pill; attending Avon’s virtual convention, a couple of BBQs, a virtual meet and greet with several fellow bloggers, and my department’s first in-person mini-retreat in several years; going gambling; creating my first few TikTok videos; meeting a friend in person that I have sung virtually with for years; surviving a wildfire that placed us in an evacuation zone; singing karaoke in person (several times) and virtually (as often as I can); enjoying egg nog, fires in the fireplace, and several date nights. Thank you! That dress was such a surprise clearance find right before Valentine’s Day this year—only $20!! I’ve already worn it several times for a variety of occasions—such a great value!
I’ve been preferring small earrings this past year—part of it was because of the mask mandating at my law firm (it ended ~mid-year), but they are less fussy and look less “cluttery.” I guess I’m generally just not ready to be fashionably bold again yet. I blame burnout for a lot of things, but it really has fatigued/depressed me to the point that even things I’ve historically loved and enjoyed in my personal life have become burdens to some degree. I’m trying to rekindle the passion for them bit by bit, mostly by tweaking things to find my “new normal” for them.

Aww, thank you! The first earrings came in a set of 6 or so—they varied in shape and color, but were all vibrantly colored studs. Great value.
