Last Saturday we headed out to a friend’s BBQ and I busted out a few of my Avon demos that weren’t for sale yet, but NOW they are! I started out with the Valeri Beaded Peasant Top from their New Neutral Collection – a fashion capsule where you can mix and match pieces. I love the top, but YOU may want to wear a cami under the tunic as it is on the sheer side – not a problem with indoor lighting…though a bit more challenging in full sunlight at a BBQ. *cough*
I topped the tunic off with Avon’s Cali Deco Pendant Necklace and Cali Deco Earrings – both gorgeous pieces that give off a modern retro vibe! I double looped the long necklace to achieve the length I needed for the top…not only did it achieve my end goal, but it also made it appear as though it’s a layered necklace – a super hot trend right now!
How did you tackle Monday? I dazzled them – that’s how I put my day in the books! I plopped Avon’s Classic Sparkle Drop Earrings in my ears and hit the ground running leaving sparkle in my wake! It’s tough to find fault with any classic style of jewelry – as they are simply elegant.
Tuesday I checked out Avon’s super duper cute Jasmine Grommet Tie Top from The New Neutrals Collection! It seemed to run a bit on the big side – I’d bought a size S (4-6), which I am, but it was a bit roomy so that the tie through the grommet didn’t appear to cinch up an extra couple of inches at the waist like it was supposed to. It’s apparently a common complaint as I’ve gotten additional feedback from other reps to size this particular top down.
But wait, that’s not all! I paired the top with Avon’s Modern Metals Long Necklace and Modern Metals Hoop Earrings! The earrings were outside of my usual picks as I tend to think of large hoops as geared to a younger crowd…but I don’t think I look like I’m trying too hard. At least I hope not…
On Wednesday I kept the hoop trend going this week with Avon’s Pacific Paradise Hoop Earrings! The size of THESE hoops were definitely in my comfort zone! They were much lighter than I anticipated them being and they didn’t tinkle on my ears – light and quiet, exactly how I prefer my earrings!
Finally, on Thursday I complained that the heat in Portland, Oregon was a bit much for my taste, but it sure looked like paradise here, so I sported Avon’s Pacific Paradise Necklace and Pacific Paradise Drop Earrings – even if the “paradise” is in name only! These are really pretty simulated moonstone pieces that look antique – they are bulkier and heavier in person than I thought they’d be…not at all dainty. I probably should have broken them up to wear with different outfits, but I was running late that AM and didn’t have the time to get creative.
And that covers the past week’s selfies! Did you wear some Avon fashion, jewelry or makeup this past week and get some photographic evidence? Drop a link in the comments below – I’d love to see YOUR selfies!
