Late to the party again in Avon’s mark Blue Belle Blouse (no longer available) and Beachy Beaded Chandelier Earrings (picked up on clearance a long while back)!
The top is cute – I really love the rich color and the braided cords with tassels for the tie, but it has some deficiencies:
1. The crocheted bands are see through. This is great when you’re in your teens or 20s and your boobs and belly are still works of art. I am far from my 20s and the only works of art left on my body are the ones I paint on it every day.
2. The arms are cut too slim. I’ve had issues with this in the past in the mark line – the problem is hit or miss and this time it hit. Wah wah.
3. Because the arms are cut too slim, the top rides up when I lift my arms and shows off my mama belly. Three strikes makes this top land in my future “no, thanks” pile.
The earrings, on the other hand, are a win! They look heavy, but are really only a medium weight. Their light baby blue color draws attention directly to them and they are large enough to see from a great distance. One note of caution: do not wear these with your long tresses left free, particularly if it’s a windy day. The snarls that would occur with these would be epic!
Easter is on the horizon and Avon’s Modern Gems Necklace and Earring Set definitely fits in. It’s super cute and very Eastery, plus it’s small/delicate enough to work for big girls and little girls alike!
Friday I slathered my lips in Avon’s Iconic Lipstick in Rose Shine! This shade goes on a lot brighter than it looks in the tube. It wasn’t neon bright, so it worked out a-okay, but it definitely woke me up when I put on the first swipe!
Those are all of the past week’s selfies! What was your favorite and how would you have worn it?!

That modern gems set is very appropriate for Spring, it beautiful. I like that shade of lipstick, it looks good on you. Not too much but yet not too subtle.

I tend to prefer more on the “too much” side for my lipstick shades. 😉
