Need to Sneeze While Applying Mascara? Do This!

One of my FAVORITE beauty tips/tricks: If you’re anything like me when you are applying mascara, it tickles and brings on a sneeze. In order to avoid getting my freshly (or partially) applied (AKA: wet) mascara all over my face, I tip my head back as far as I can before sneezing. Why? By tipping your head back as far as you can when the sneeze comes, your eyes won’t slam shut, thus leaving your freshly (or partially) applied mascara unharmed. I use this tip AT LEAST once per week.

Recommendations for an Avon Newbie

In all my 22 years (thus far) as an Avon rep, I have never had anyone ask me the question Teresa did yesterday: “If you were going to suggest some makeup or skincare products for an Avon newbie to try to get a feel for the brand, what would you recommend?”

Those of you new to getting to know me will learn I’m a bit…wordy. My response, naturally, was LONG as follows (Note: I’ve added photos, links and made a few minor edits):

Avon has an extensive line of skin care and makeup. I’d first ask what skin type they had and what types of makeup they favored.

Failing any response at all, I’d suggest some tried and true customer and personal fave products:

Anew Clean Facial Cleansing Wipes (they do double duty by removing makeup and cleaning your face – great for travel too); OR,

While I focus a majority of my energy on my own Avon customers, I also have a small Avon team and we are known as Team Purrfection! My current team came about organically – meaning I didn’t “recruit” them, they came to me to join my team for various reasons – two of them have never bought a single Avon item from me, one didn’t even know me personally. Why do I tell you this? To let you know that I am not the one you should be looking to for advice on how to build a gigantic team in a traditional way – I simply don’t operate that way…probably because I wasn’t recruited either. *shrug* Continue reading
