It’s Favorites Friday!
Powder may not immediately come to mind as a favorite anything…it’s a necessity, right? Wrong. I know plenty of people who don’t use powder at all. The mind boggles! My love affair with Avon’s True Color Flawless Mattifying Pressed Powder began decades ago and it is now back in stock after a couple of nail-biting months waiting for the manufacturer to fix some unknown issues!
Every day I try to achieve as “perfect” a palette as I can by layering foundation and concealer…but the miracle change comes when I apply the powder on top! Everything evens out, shine is erased and, I dare say, I instantly appear younger! What I love is the great coverage, but it never feels heavy or looks cakey. This powder truly is an MVP in my makeup bag!
An added bonus is that it travels well in its traditional “compact” format with the sponge applicator stowed directly in the container with a mirror for touch ups as needed throughout your day.
SIDE TIP: If you use powder for various parts of your body (e.g., face, neck, decolletage, etc.) make sure you match the shade of the powder with each area’s skin – I actually have two different powders I use!
What’s one of YOUR favorite products this week? Share it with us in the comments!
Are you kidding?! There are people who seriously don’t wear powder?! Powders are EVERYTHING! Sometimes that’s all I wear with a little lip gloss. Makes a world of difference.

I am NOT kidding. I don’t understand it though. If I am only allowed 3 makeup items to carry in my purse, powder will ALWAYS be one of those items. It is a basic necessity, IMO.

Yes! Powder, lip gloss and mascara. That would be my 3 items. Yours?

Adult acne – teenager skin on a middle aged lady’s face…totally stupid.
I haven’t even check other people’s posts yet (just arrived home) and didn’t get a notification of a tag.
I’ll go check it out now – thanks for the heads up!!
You should check out the other post I made this AM before this post – it’s the blog collab with lots of the other pics from the fashion shoot I had my mom do! 😀

Middle-aged? Who’s middle-aged? Certainly not you. Middle-age is 60 and older is 80. 😃

LOL I’m not far from 50 which is halfway to 100, which I HOPE to hit! Therefore, I’m in the middle, thus middle aged. I’ve never been hung up about aging. ::shrug::

That’s a logical perspective. My perspective differs a bit but both are still great. 😄
