The ramblings and obsessions of a longtime Avon lady

Who among you is/was a big fan of Suave’s fruity shampoos and conditioners in the 70s, 80s and 90s?  Those mouthwatering scented products left my hair smelling fresh and delicious!  Enter Avon’s Kids Tangle Wrangle Leave-In Conditioner & Detangler Spray!  While marketed towards children, I actually use this spray in my own hair following my shower to help detangle my locks and keep it looking beautiful – plus it smells positively divine, bringing a giant smile to my face every single day!  The spray tames fly-aways and features a delicious very berry scent.

I’ve been holding off on adding Avon’s Magix Tint Brightening Tinted Moisturizer to my list of faves until I got some solid time using it in – and now it’s been a couple of months!  So, here goes my review!
Since I’m pushing 50 years old, I’ve noticed that medium to full coverage foundations tend to magnetically pool in my “fine” lines, which only ends up accentuating them – totally not what I want!  So, when Avon brought back a tinted moisturizer, I jumped at testing it out!

My hair gets cranky when I use only one shampoo/conditioner, so I alternate between an expensive color treatment brand and Avon’s Advance Techniques 360 Nourish With Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo & Conditioner – two favorites that go hand in hand!

I started using Avon’s Anew Hydra Fusion Nighttime Facial Treatment as a demo before it was released for sale to the general public.  With the fall weather (now fully into winter), my face needed a little more moisturizing than it usually does in warmer temps, particularly the skin on the tip and around my nose.

I know cleansers aren’t sexy to talk about, but they are mandatory to use!  Whether you go for the top shelf super duper expensive cleansers, a regular bar of soap or something in between (like most of us), we all seek out the best option for our own skin type.

I have oily skin and have always struggled finding the right cleanser.  Many of them strip away the oils, causing breakouts and patches of dried skin.  It’s beyond frustrating to find the perfect balance between leaving my face feeling clean and not causing additional skin issues.
