It’s Favorites Friday!!
I’ve been holding off on adding Avon’s Magix Tint Brightening Tinted Moisturizer to my list of faves until I got some solid time using it in – and now it’s been a couple of months! So, here goes my review!
Since I’m pushing 50 years old, I’ve noticed that medium to full coverage foundations tend to magnetically pool in my “fine” lines, which only ends up accentuating them – totally not what I want! So, when Avon brought back a tinted moisturizer, I jumped at testing it out!
The coverage is very light. I’m 100% okay with this as I dab concealer on my blemishes and always finish with a matte powder to help cover any remaining uneven skin tone issues. MISTAKE: The first day I tested this out, I tried it without first putting on my beloved Magix Face Perfector as I (incorrectly) assumed the amount in the tinted moisturizer formula would do me. It didn’t. Duly noted. Day two went much better with the face perfector troweled on before the tint. It lasted all day and there were no pools of tint huddled together in my lines! TIP: If you have grossly large pores and/or super oily skin like me, don’t skip your primer.
The brightening aspect legit works! I’m not sure what’s in the formula to make it happen, but my face radiates with this tint – I am so in love with it! I’ve had more people tell me I look better than I ever have since I started wearing this tint! For the record, it does not contain glitter, for those of you who explicitly want or don’t want it in your face tint.
While there are only six shades, they are incredibly forgiving due to the fact that they only contain a small amount of tint in the formula. One of the Avon corporate ladies did a demo of 4 different shades on her face to show that many different shades may work for anyone’s face! If you are interested, you can check out that Avon demo video here.
Best of all, my skin did not negatively react to this product at all! I have incredibly sensitive skin that loves rebelling by breaking out when I try anything new on it, so I anticipated that happening, at least to some degree, but it never happened! ::angels singing::
As a result, I have completely ditched my previous foundation for the Magix Tint and couldn’t be happier!

The Magix face primer is the ONLY primer I use because after trying so many, this one is the only one that controls the oily shine on me. It also is the only one that, for the most part hides my pores, I love it! So I’m curious about this one with tint, I have spots of melasma on my face I’m very self conscience about, I wonder if this tint would do the trick using, like you said, with a small amount of concealer?
Either way I’m game for trying this 😎.

The primer + tint + concealer should definitely do the trick!
And, like you, the primer mattifies, blurs imperfections and creates such a lovely base pallette for my makeup that I can’t live without it!
