Are you trying to reach a goal?  Stuck on deciding what content to post?  Want opinions, reviews, product testers or referrals? Let your customers know – they love to help!

Create a Poll

People love giving opinions and feeling like they are helping to choose how something will go that they care about. The possibilities are endless! Which lipstick/nail polish/scarf should I wear? Lay out two accessorized outfits and ask which one you should choose for Christmas. Ask their opinion on what types of posts they are most interested in seeing (e.g., beauty tips, sale highlights, polls, selfies, etc.). Whenever I’m stuck on making a decision in my business, I always ask my customers – they do care about your success and their feedback is crucial!

Labels

Label your brochures with your current goal and see what happens. (e.g., ”Help me win a trip from Avon.”) We’re a busy people nowadays and sometimes get so caught up in our own schedules that we forget to help others.  So, tell your customers what you want and need from them – oftentimes, the reminder to help is all they need.

Incentives

You can even sweeten the pot by offering an incentive to your customers for their help – a discount or free products are always appreciated. In addition, don’t forget to let them know how much you appreciate them and what they do for you and your business – gratefulness goes a long way!

If you want your business to grow, start asking others for help – you’ll reach your goals a lot faster and your customers will be invested in your success!

It seems basic, but you’d be surprised how many don’t do it!

I actually wouldn’t be…People have the misconceived notion that asking for help makes them weak.

I ask for help a lot, but there are also things I’d never ask for help on – usually when I know I’d be creating more work for myself by getting “help”…or the few things I’m a control freak about.
