Hopelessly Heather

The ramblings and obsessions of a longtime Avon lady

Tuesday was picture day at my temp gig (crazy, right?!), so I dressed up and added Avon’s Summer Sands Earrings for a bit of sparkle!

These are perfect to wear with summer sundresses! They are fun and have a tropical flavor to them. They do tinkle a bit when moving about your day, but not as much as you’d expect. They are also a bit smaller than I anticipated, which actually delighted me!

I didn’t expect to like them as much as I do! I thought they’d make a lot more noise and that they’d be bigger, which would make them harder to style…not all outfits can support large jewelry pieces.

I attended my welcome lunch (!!) with a couple of coworkers on Wednesday and tried to (mentally) keep cool in the nearly 100 degree weather by sporting Avon’s Blue Surf Pendant Necklace and Hoop Earrings (sold separately)!

love that the necklace is on a chain that allows you to cinch it WAY up or way down however you see fit! The pendant is shiny hammered silvertone with a couple of absolutely stunning blue charms. I did notice throughout the day that the charms sometimes ended up hiding behind the pendant – only a small annoyance.

You can’t really see it in the photos, but the profile view of the earrings are “wavy”, which gives them a bit more of a casual feel. While a little larger in diameter than I usually prefer to wear, they aren’t ridiculous and are thin enough to still (barely) toe the line of dressy.

I was a bit overdressed for visiting kittens after work Thursday evening, but perfectly dressy in Avon’s Goldtone Filigree Necklace and Earring Set for the work day!

Filigree always provides an air of sophistication to jewelry pieces and this set is no exception to the rule! Because it appears delicate, this set doesn’t take up a lot of visual space. The necklace is best worn with a solidly colored background so the filigree pattern can be seen and fully appreciated. I love that it’s a long necklace too – the pendant isn’t so large that it covers a giant portion of an outfit, but it still seems “substantial” enough to break up a large solid expanse or color.

Those are all of the past week’s selfies! What was your favorite and how would you have worn it?!

  2. The Summer Sand earrings look great on you! I knew we were fashion soul sisters, that black and white polka dot dress and red sweater is an outfit I have as well. I mean not the exact outfit, but you know what I’m saying, lol.

It has a retro vibe. I posted my photo shoot in it a few weeks ago – definitely a fave!
