I kicked off the holiday work week in Avon’s Colorful Beaded Earrings in Red! (You can see the blue ones here.)
Again, I love the style and size of these earrings but, once again, was disappointed in the shade of beads used. While the type of beads used were more to my liking than the blue one (these didn’t look so cheap), the shade was more of a pink than a red, which was a disappointment. I still like these enough to wear them again, though – I just need to stop thinking of them as red first!
On Tuesday, I pretended that the grey day was tropical in Avon’s Summer Sands Necklace and Earring Set!
I absolutely loved the earrings from this set and really, truly wanted to like the necklace…but, I didn’t. The necklace’s pendant was too large for my taste, as were the pearly beads. I felt like I was wearing a fancy set of Mardi Gras beads fit for a pimp. The pendant on the necklace is so lightweight, it flops around when you move or any breeze hits it, which only drew more attention to the enormity of it. If the size of its parts were shrunk down, I’d actually really love it, but because it was a cartoon-sized piece, I felt it didn’t work for me, or go with the dainty earrings they came packaged with. ::sad face::
My month-long temp gig closed out in Avon’s Marjorie Embroidered Top in Peach!
The top is a gorgeous color that would compliment any wearer and I always love me a great tassel. The downside: it’s boxy and constructed with thin material. Luckily, I wore the too under a cardigan at work, but if I’d needed to take the cardi off, the top would be pretty close to see through in the sun. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: ain’t nobody wanna see that!
Those are all of the past week’s selfies! What was your favorite and how would you have worn it?!

Ohh love that tropical sand set, I think it would have gone well with the peachy top as well. Nice jewelry presentation this week, 😉👍😎

Thanks!
I didn’t want to take any attention away from the tassels in the peach top, so I went without a necklace altogether. I don’t think I’d like the pink pearls of the necklace against the peach top though and, of course, I really ended up disliking the overall size of that necklace pendant. If you end up winning my giveaway, I’ll throw this necklace in with it – maybe you’ll end up liking it better than I do!
