Last Saturday was a double date night in Avon’s Flower Burst Wire Necklace and the bloom studs from the Assorted Floral Earring Pack!

While the wire “chain” for the necklace is rigid and lays awkwardly, it really is the perfect delivery system for the giant pendant–it doesn’t distract at all from the showstopper. Throughout the workday, all my coworkers couldn’t help but notice it–even the dudes! While stately, it is rather large, so not all outfits would work with it. The adorable studs were a perfect yang to the necklace’s yin–small, understated, but beautiful all on their own.

Drug my butt through another Monday in Avon’s Look of Diamond Pendant Necklace and Pretty Pastel CZ Stud Earrings in Pink!

I don’t know why it’s a thing lately, but so many earring studs are rounded on the bottom, rather than flat. I’m not a fan because they almost all appear as though they are hovering near my earlobe rather than adorning it. The stones in these are larger than I imagined they’d be, which wasn’t a negative. On the other hand, the necklace is striking in its own classic, simple way. It would make a great piece for any aged girl.

I keep looking for Y necklaces that I truly like. Unfortunately, this wasn’t it. First, it’s super long, particularly the tail, which darn near touched my belly button even when I hooked the chain as far in as possible. Next, it never hung straight, which drives me batty–as do the little leaves that drip from the chain and never will they all lay right. The earrings are okay, but I just couldn’t get excited about them. ::sigh::
