I wore a little lavender to get through Monday…in Avon’s Elegant Purple Necklace and lavender-y studs from their Gemstone Earring Pack! I was happy to see the lavender in the necklace show up in photos, because it is very light in person. As a matter of fact, when I opened the box, I thought they’d packaged a clear one by mistake. The good news is that’s my only (minor) complaint about the necklace–it otherwise lives up to its name as it is elegant, delicate, and traditionally classic. I was delighted to find the slightly lavender gemstone studs in the earring collection, and they go with the necklace perfectly! Their pear-shape (that I flipped to lay down) makes for a lovely difference between the two pieces!
Cheap frills to pave my way with pearls…in Avon’s Pavé & Pearly Long Necklace and Earring Set and Oh Là Là Lipstick in Frills! I should have paid better attention before purchasing the necklace, but didn’t notice that the pavé charms on the necklace were oddly spaced until I put the dang thing on–and it bugged me all day. I don’t necessarily need symmetry, but I tried laying the necklace in a multitude of “patterns,” and none of them looked quite right. Maybe if there had been an odd number of them, I could have worked with it? It’s these tiny design hiccups that make me one-and-done-it with pieces. Aside from this tiny (and fatal) issue, the necklace is otherwise really pretty–I didn’t even mind the varying pearl diameters. On the other hand, the earrings from the set ended up being the big winners–earning a spot in my “faves” jewelry box!
The lipstick is a very neutral medium-pink hue–one that I have a million similar formulations in. However, it’s the vintage-styled lipstick tubes and boxes that delight me most about this line, which is a good thing since the lipstick itself isn’t my favorite as it’s a bit dry going on and doesn’t really glide across the lips.
Have you hung your ornaments? I have–with Avon’s Ornament Earrings! Sadly, these beauties are completely sold out–whomp, whomp. These are really beautiful, and look very high-end in person–they aren’t a cheap cloisonné and the detail is wonderful! While I am overjoyed by these–thank the gods I got the sold-out trees too, which I’ll wear in the coming week–I’m equally saddened that they are no longer in stock. I could kick myself that I didn’t crack these boxes open sooner so my customers would have been able to opt in for a pair of their own. That regret aside, I am thrilled to add these to my collection of favorite Christmas pieces!
Choked up by rhinestones…in Avon’s Rhinestone Coil Choker! Being a self-proclaimed choker hoarder, I had to add this one to my collection! I am not the biggest fan of coils because they are pre-shaped and don’t lay very well on me. In addition, because they are pre-formed, there’s no way to cinch it up small enough to make it a true choker, so it ends up resting at the collar level. ::grumble, grumble:: Despite the foregoing, this is still a very pretty piece–and, unlike the statement necklace in the collection, it does sparkle!
Those are all of the past week’s selfies! What was your favorite and how would you have worn it?!

🤣 My “usual” collage app is broken, so I downloaded a new one—it has a whole lot more bells and whistles…ended up buying an annual subscription! Thank you for noticing! 💕
