Avon Moisture Therapy In-Shower Body Lotion

It’s Favorites Friday!!

As an Avon lady, I hate admitting that I suck at certain things that my customers (and other Avon ladies) consider to be basic. Applying body lotion is one of these things as I generally hate the process of it. I have historically been bad about putting lotion on regularly for two main reasons: (1) it’s time consuming; and, (2) it’s messy. Blech!

Early this year, Avon released their Moisture Therapy In-Shower Body Lotion line and I figured I’d give it a whirl to see whether or not I’d be any better at applying body lotion more regularly. The verdict: I LOVE IT – it’s been a total game changer for me! Continue reading

Putting on Hand Lotion – You’re Probably Doing it Wrong

Did you know that there is a PROPER way to apply hand lotion? I learned this trick in 1996 at an Avon meeting – one of my first as an Avon rep. It’s stuck with me since and I’ve shared it hundreds of times over, much to the delight of many! For those of you who are unfamiliar with the technique, I demonstrated it in the following video:

My actual nail polish collection

First things first, I never paint my fingernails. I am rough on my hands and my fingernails are just plain woeful. There is absolutely no need to draw any kind of attention to my jacked up fingernails.

On the flip side, I love having painted toenails; however, my feet are pretty disgusting. I power walk and run, so my feet are constantly sporting blisters in various states of healing and the calluses should be named. To deal with my feet, I have found several things that can make them appear party ready…at least until the party is over! Continue reading
