I kicked around town on Saturday in Avon’s Iconic Lipstick in Merry Mauve (a sweet and soft baby pink shade) along with Beautiful Blue Tassel Statement Earrings that I picked up on clearance (unfortunately, they are no longer available)!
This lipstick shade is more baby pink than mauve on me, but it’s still lovely as a lighter and more neutral color. As per my previous reviews, the box and lipstick case both get heart flutters from me.
The earrings are beauts! I honestly don’t know why I passed them up when they were released, but I’m really glad I was able to snatch up a pair on clearance! They are lightweight, but pack a serious fashion punch. The royal blue tassel demands respect and I was delighted that the chandelier portion of the earring is one static piece, so it all moves together in one smooth swing.
I’ve been holding off on wearing Avon’s Bow Necklace and Earring Set until after Thanksgiving, so the haters won’t hate! 😉
Too soon?
The hubs is cranky about me embracing all things Christmas related now that Thanksgiving is over because it’s not December yet. Too. Many. Rules.
Clearly his opinion hasn’t stopped me from doing whatever I want anyway, thus my debut of this sweet jewelry set. The bows are small and tasteful. The necklace could easily be worn by a child, though the earrings might be too large for them depending on how old/big they are.
The set is the same size/design as the red one that came out last year…does this mean we’ll get another color to add to our collection next year? Hmm…
Avon picked four of its independent sales reps to each design their own signature jewelry collection for the holidays and they have all launched! I’ve been chomping at the bit to wear the Julia Teardrop Chandelier Earrings – and they do not disappoint!! Who doesn’t/wouldn’t love these sparkly danglies?! So striking!
As discussed previously, Avon selected four representatives to design signature #jewelry collections for the holidays. Today I’m featuring the Luz Stella Statement Necklace and Earring Set! Black, white and silver always wins the day! While the necklace is the obvious look at me piece (as it should be), it was the earrings that wowed me when I opened them. While they are a match to the necklace, it’s tasteful and not obvious. I appreciate it when the statement necklace in a set can be the prima donna and the matching earrings don’t fight for equal time on stage, but still manage to hold their own. Perfecto!
