Hopelessly Heather

The ramblings and obsessions of a longtime Avon lady

Starting off the week still kicking the last bits of this cold to the curb, but still bringing the dazzle in the studs from Avon’s Sterling Silver Hoop and CZ Stud Earring Set!

While basics aren’t nearly as fun to look at or talk about, they are called basics for a reason–everyone should have a version of them…and this sterling silver set of earrings fits squarely in that category.  These CZ studs are conservative and traditional, rather than sexy and showy, but sometimes that’s exactly what an outfit needs.  Small glints of sparkle on each earlobe perfectly completed the day’s outfit.  ‘Nuff said.

I’m making today a magical day in Avon’s Unicorn Necklace and Crystal Party Pave Hoop Earrings!

This sweet unicorn necklace is cute and sized so that a younger girl could wear it too.  It comes packaged inside the box on a backer that reminds the wearer to “Be the Magic”–who doesn’t need a little magic in their life?  I particularly appreciate that I am able to add this girlish accessory to my own corporate wardrobe and it still is 100% appropriate–there’s not need to be forced into the typical rainbow unicorn box so I look like I’m trying too hard to recapture my youth.  The hoops are really beautiful, but I found them to be on the heavier side of a medium weight and bulky.  I’ve previously discussed my dislike of hoops that “stay put” and aren’t given free motion and that remains true with these–the hoops don’t hang properly (parallel-ish to my face) and, instead, stick out sideways to bring more attention to themselves.  It’s unnecessary accessory showboating and I’m definitely not it’s #1 fan.

Making statements and taking names in Avon’s Sterling Silver Living My Best Life Necklace and the hoops from their Sterling Silver Hoop and CZ Stud Earrings Set!

I thought the pendant on the necklace would have been large enough so you could actually read the words inscribed without bringing your face close to my chest, but that is not the case.  I love the phrase (even though it’s currently being overused), so I’m a bit bummed that the writing is practically minuscule.  I don’t despise the necklace–I only find it somewhat disappointing in size.  (That’s what she said…)  On the flip side, the hoops–even though they are also small in diameter–are super cute and tasteful.

Those are all of the past week’s selfies! What was your favorite and how would you have worn it?!

  1. I love those studs and the hoops too. Even though your not fond of the hoops I’m not such a stickler for the “free fall” kind of style. What I want to know is that choker your wearing with the studs is from AVON too? It’s gorgeous!

It is Avon–the Sparkling Accents Choker came out about one year ago in both goldtone and silvertone. I think they were recently on clearance, but am not seeing them available for sale anymore. You can check out my original selfies and associated reviews in the following posts:
