Monday was my last day of staycation, but I also had to attend a video meeting for work, so I slapped on Avon’s Western Wind Statement Earrings for the wow factor!
I wasn’t overly excited about these based on the pic in the brochure, but when I cracked open the box, my eyes nearly fell out of my head. These things are amazeballs!! First things first, they are a medium to heavy weight, so I broke out my magic earring backers to help prop up these beauties as they ought to be supported. Now that the business out of the way, I’m going to gush about these a little more! I was concerned wearing these would look out of place with anything other than a cowboy hat, but I was dead wrong. While they definitely have a western flair to them, they more than hold their own when paired with trendy fashion. Despite being fairly sizable, they don’t overpower any look–mostly because they have a burnished finish. I never imagined I would be putting these babies in my “must wear again” jewelry box, but they definitely earned their place among my other faves!
I tried appearing presentable for Tuesday’s video meetings in Avon’s Sparkling Scroll Pendant Necklace and Earring Set!
The necklace is pretty enough. It sparkles. It’s traditionally designed. I should care more about it, but I just don’t. I found it kind of…boring. Ho hum. The earrings, on the other hand, ended up winning the show between the two. I didn’t anticipate being crazy about the large studs in the earring set, but I really enjoyed them! The close up pic doesn’t really do them justice, considering few people will ever get that close to them. They really pop, sparkle, and shine! These also earned a spot in my “best” jewelry box!
I finished my Friday in the heart studs from Avon’s Everyday Glam Stud Earring Mega Pack and Birthday Balm Lip Crayon in PYT!
The earring pack is no longer available (maybe it’ll come back on clearance at some point?), but these open heart studs are too cute! Many of the studs in the pack are typical (which is code for not special), but that doesn’t mean every girl shouldn’t own it. Some days, basic stud earrings are just plain called for.
I am now officially a fan of the entire birthday balm line! This particular shade is my natural lip color. On those days I don’t want a lip color, but want the protection of a balm, this will be my go-to shade. Avon really knocked it out of the park with this lip line!

Sometimes I sell them or give them away. The others I toss in my “other” boxes (yes, there are multiple, as you can imagine). Occasionally I’ll poke around in them to find something specific to complete an outfit or look, and sometimes friends/family hit me up to rummage through my jewelry when they need pieces for their own looks. I don’t lay eyes on them regularly though, so out of sight, out of mind. My favorites are the ones I wear on the days I don’t take selfies, or on the days I’m highlighting other new pieces and need a tried and true piece to complete a look.
