I was back in Avon’s Summer Sorbet Beaded Earrings in Aqua on Saturday – such fun, summery pieces! I already reviewed them more thoroughly, but wanted to show off another of the pretty colors in the collection!
Dinner with the boy on Monday equaled a totally casual look in Avon’s Lovely Lariat in Goldtone and a pair of earrings from the Tokens of Summer Hoop Trio Set in Pink!
I already reviewed different iterations of these pieces earlier, but figured I ought to show off their goldtone counterparts!
I supported my daughter Wednesday AM in Avon’s Tokens of Summer Natural Stone Necklace in Rose Quartz and another pair of earrings from the Tokens of Summer Hoop Trio Set in Pink!
When I busted open the packaging for the necklace, I feared I’d end up frustrated with it, assuming it wouldn’t hang properly…but I couldn’t have been more wrong! Not only is this design unique and beautiful, but it actually hung properly all day! Color me shocked!!
The earrings are super cute and match the feather charm on the necklace – LOVE!!❤️
I took advantage of the warmer sunny day on Thursday in Avon’s Sara Eyelet Top, Chic Pendant Choker in Aqua and another pair of earrings from the Tokens of Summer Hoop Trio Set in Aqua!
The eyelet top is super cute, but boxy – and the cami that comes with it is also boxy. My general rule of thumb is to layer a boxy piece with a form fitting one. So, next time I wear the top (<—see, I really do like it – I’m already making plans!), I’m going to ditch the stock cami it came with and replace it with one of my own that’s form fitting…and a different color than white for visual interest. The other thing that I noticed is that the collar is very stiff and holds its shape during any movement which looks unnatural. I’m hoping that with a few washes it will relax a bit and move more fluidly with my body so it doesn’t look so weird when I’m going about my day. Other than those two minor issues, I loved that the top was so breathable during the warm day and is an absolutely adorable design!
Y’all know I love me some chokers, however the design of this one is flawed. For my pencil neck, it doesn’t sit at a proper choker level (a common gripe for me – thanks so much genetics for giving me such a danged skinny neck!), but even worse than that is that the pendant is too heavy for the chain supports for it to remain facing forward. All day long (and, frustratingly, while trying to gather pics), the pendant kept flopping forward and/or turning its bum to the world. Grr!
I’ve previously reviewed the earrings, though these ones seem to be more on the green side than the aqua side of the spectrum. I still love them, but they didn’t match the aqua choker (more on the turquoise side) as well as I’d have preferred.
Those are all of the past week’s selfies! What was your favorite and how would you have worn it?!
