On Tuesday evening, I headed out to dinner with the hubs and some of his team at work – it was my first time meeting them, even though he’s been with the company for 13 years! I marked the occasion in Avon’s Mother of Pearl Kite Earrings!
I don’t know why, but I am always a sucker for earrings that are in this style (and the phrase “shake your moneymaker” always comes to mind!) – they always look amazing and lend an air of glamour to whichever outfit you pair them with…these were no exception! They are incredibly lightweight, so they didn’t tug on my ears, nor, to my surprise and delight, did they tangle in my hair! Since they had my hair as a backdrop to lay against, I didn’t notice any tinkling…and we were up on the 15th floor outdoor balcony where it was seriously windy! I couldn’t find one single negative thing to say about these!
On Wednesday, I delivered an order to a new customer in Avon’s Freshwater Pearl Layered Necklace and Earring Set!
This set is absolutely gorgeous! The layered necklace is so dang pretty, I kept it on all evening while lounging around on the couch at home! The layers tend to stay put unless you lean forward, then they may need to be readjusted once you stand upright, but otherwise, this necklace will be one I get lots of wear out of! The earrings are cute and have a vaguely Asian vibe to them. Personally, I’d have preferred they leave off the little gold bars with see-through beads and just keep the pearl to stand solo – it would have been simpler and more elegant. That said, I do like the earrings…just not to wear with the necklace.
Thursday was girls’ night and we hit up Voicebox to sing our hearts out at karaoke! I did it with style in Avon’s Reconstituted Turquoise Necklace and Earring Set!
Turquoise is always such a vibrant explosion of color with any outfit – sure to be a win! This particular necklace is set in goldtone, which lends a more upscale appearance to the stone. The necklace’s chain allows it to be cinched up to a collar necklace length, which is likely the length I’ll be wearing it at in the future. When it was at the length pictured, it worked best for the top I was wearing, but I would have preferred that the stones filled up more of the chain’s front-facing space…though I’m not opposed to wearing it under a blazer, cardigan or collared shirt that would hide more or all of the “naked” chain. The earrings are terrific! I love the medium size of the hoop and the mini-sized turquoise drop pendant still adds that shock of color, but doesn’t add actual weight to the earlobe!
Those are all of the past week’s selfies! What was your favorite and how would you have worn it?!
