Hopelessly Heather

The ramblings and obsessions of a longtime Avon lady

Vacation is FINALLY here!! Kicking our NYC adventure off in Avon’s Sparkling Grey Pendant Necklace and Drop Earrings!

The photo of the necklace more accurately represents the color of these pieces–I think the earrings were reflecting colors from the sky outside my window.  They are definitely grey and on the deeper side of the grey spectrum to boot.  While I like this set just fine, there’s nothing particularly special about it–I find it to be a pretty classic Avon set.  It doesn’t look high end, but it won’t turn your neck green either.  ::shrug::

First full day of vacay in NYC: slept in late; ate a calorie-heavy lunch; and hitting Fifth Avenue in Avon’s Pink Hope Charm Necklace!

For a girl who eschewed pink until her 40s, I’ve certainly gotten over it now and am actually attracted to it!  The main pendant is great by itself with the inscription “Watch Over Me”, but it’s definitely leveled up with the addition of pink CZ and angel charms.  Not only do they up the cuteness factor, but they actually have meaning too.  And another bonus: Avon will contribute 15% of the sales prices of Pink Hope fundraising products, including this charm necklace, up to $750,000 in 2019, to the American Cancer Society’s breast cancer programs and services.  Who isn’t winning?!

A wide open vacay day in NYC—we’ll see what kind of trouble we can get into…first up, pizza! Featuring the rose gold studs from Avon’s Tri-tone Stud Earring Pack!

This earring pack is stuffed with great basic pieces in all the shades, including the ones pictured in rose gold.  I love basic, simple pieces because they can go with anything.  Flexible…unlike me.  ::har, har, har::

Tonight we’re going out to dinner and a show (Frozen), so we’re getting our cardio in early by trekking all over Central Park after getting in a solid breakfast! Daytime look is featuring the silver studs from Avon’s Tri-tone Stud Earring Pack!

Another great basic pair of studs.  There’s nothing special about them, but they are great to hold court in the lobes when wearing large statement necklaces.

Tonight we’re going out to dinner and another show (Mean Girls), so we’ll be getting our cardio in early again by trekking all over High Line Park after snagging lunch! Daytime look is featuring Avon’s Goldtone Lovely Leaf Cluster Earrings!

I previously reviewed the silvertone version of these beauties, and it still stands:  these are pretty, lightweight and quiet!  All requirements fulfilled!

Our last full day in the city and I broke out all my jewelry for causes: Avon’s Pink Hope Sterling Silver CZ Necklace and the angel wings from their Purple Peace Stud Earring Trio!

The necklace is a traditional necklace, but incorporates the usual symbol of a pink ribbon as the CZ twist “hanger” for the pink pendant.  Clever and pretty.  You can show your support in an understated way.  The earrings are adorable and wings are on trend–you can’t go wrong!  Another bonus: Avon will contribute 15% of the sales prices of Purple Peace fundraising products, including this earring trio, up to $200,000 in 2019, to the National Domestic Violence Hotline’s programs and services.

Those are all of the past week’s selfies! What was your favorite and how would you have worn it?!
