I didn’t hang the moon, but…Avon’s Celestial Moon Natural Stone Necklace and Rhinestone Huggie Hoop Earrings sure make it look like I did!  The pendant on the necklace is a lot smaller than I imagined it would be, but I think I like it even better than if it had been larger.  This whole quarantine/social distancing/working from home thing has thrown me off my statement piece game–even being in video meetings on the regular the statement pieces seem a little too…extra.  As a result, I’ve been skipping necklaces altogether a lot the past several months, and featuring earrings instead.  I feel like I can rock statement earring a little bit easier than a statement necklace.  It’s a problem, I know…and I’m working on it; however, these daintier necklaces are the ones I’ve been gravitating to when I do wear them, so this one totally works.  Huggie earrings are always a bit of a gamble with my fat lobes–tiny huggie earrings don’t fit, so I was delighted to find these accommodated my lobes just fine, with a little extra room even!  These offer a ton of twinkly goodness, which matches up with the glint from the moon in the necklace–and the earrings themselves can be worn solo to bring a little fanciness to any Zoom meeting without going over the top.

Oh, my! I was clutching my pearls in the day’s wind with Avon’s Pavé & Pearly Earrings!  First things first, these aren’t as heavy as you might think–I’d put them squarely in the medium-weight category. I didn’t even have to break out my magic earring backers to keep them from drooping!  My followers already know I’m a pearl freak–yes, yes, I know I’m a freak about a handful of others too, but we’re talking about pearls right now, ‘k?–so I almost end up loving all pearl pieces…and (surprise, surprise!) these are no exception.  They are traditional with a twist–their size is more in line with statement earrings–and I felt like they were certainly enough to carry the entire accessory role alone.  Bellissimo!

I saw red in Avon’s Sterling Silver Genuine Garnet Necklace and Earrings!  All of Avon’s sterling silver pieces are dainty, so these were right in line with my expectations regarding size.  I know the garnets are genuine, but I’m not a fan of the garnet stone in my necklace–it is such a dark red, it looks black, no matter how much light you aim at it.  That was a huge disappointment, particularly because I purchased these pieces to add some quality reds into my collection.  On balance, the earrings were exactly the hue I’d hoped for.  The earrings and necklace pendant are the same size, which makes sense.  The teardrop shape is classic, as is the design of the CZs surrounding each stone.  If I’m being honest, I probably won’t ever wear the necklace again, but the earrings will certainly be put back into play again!

Where there’s smoke, there’s…Avon’s Smokey Statement Earrings!  These are heavy and bulky, but they undoubtedly make a statement.  The smokey stones are a light brownish-grey, which complemented my outfit choice well.   The smokey teardrop stones are a touch too large for the design, and end up banging against each other (with less of a tinkly sound, and more of a clunk-clunk), which means that they sometimes end up turned sideways, or hooked cockeyed behind the center stone, instead of hanging front and center.  Oh, what’s that you ask: did that bother me?  Why yes, it did.  I got a close-up photo of it so you can see for yourself.  When hanging properly, I rather like these–I just wish they were a tiny bit lighter, and the teardrop stones were a bit smaller.  The old: wish in one hand, spit in the other…
