All the hot bronzers, highlighters and shimmer powders on the beauty market have 46-year-old me groaning. Middle-aged ladies generally have fine (if not medium to deep) lines to worry about and bringing attention to them is not what we want. In addition, many of them have so much glitter content it looks like we’re sadly trying to recapture our clubbing days.

Every year on Halloween our house receives between 200-300 trick-or-treaters. Last year I tried something new and I’m doing it again this year – handing out bombitas! If you are unfamiliar with what a bombita is, it’s simply a goody bag.
I always travel with my own washcloths. Primarily, I’ve historically done so because I feel super duper guilty staining those perfectly white ones in hotels with my makeup every day. So, I pack one washcloth per night as well as a companion ziploc bag for storage of each soiled washcloth.
