Last Saturday was date night with the hubs to celebrate my acceptance of a job offer, officially bringing #JobSearch2019 to a conclusion! I celebrated by wearing Avon’s Nikki Dress and Instant Glamour Statement Earrings!
The dress is a gorgeous shade of blue and I can’t say enough about the asymmetrical neckline – slipping a tiny bit of sexy clavicle in is always a winner in my book! I got this in a small, but the dress was a bit big on me and the ruching on the side sagged and bagged a bit – and, because I’m super stumpy (5′ 1″), the ruching also didn’t really hit me in the right spots, starting out a bit too low and ending WAY too low on my side which ended up accentuating my mama tummy rather than hide it more effectively. Thus, no side view. Nobody wants to see that.
The earrings are such glorious pieces that wearing a necklace with them wouldn’t have allowed them to hog the spotlight like they deserve to. I used the earring back lifters again to keep them “erect” which worked like a charm and the only “negative” thing I could say about these is that they are a bit noisy, but more in a plastic beads beating against each other way rather than a metallic clang…so, if you’re into ASMR, these really might be up your alley!
Tuesday night I grabbed pizza with a friend, which called for Avon’s Modern Links Long Necklace!
I went way casual with this one, but it could easily go with dressier attire as well. I love the length and visual interest the mixed metals and varying sized/shaped links provide – an uber fun necklace!
Yesterday mom and I hit the casino and had loads of fun! I started the fun off by wearing Avon’s Modern Pearly Linear Earrings – shiny things for a shiny place!
I don’t know why, but these have an Asian vibe to me. Sophisticated, uncluttered and traditional (but not even remotely dated or out of style) – these baubles beguile!
Medium heavy earrings, but my earlobes remained perky all day long and never got sore. Earring back lifters to the rescue again!

Thanks! I’m lazy with my hair when it’s rainy, hot, or humid but, when it’s a nice day out, I take the time and make the effort to actually do my hair.
