I matched Monday’s swagger in Avon’s Sterling Silver CZ Statement Hoop Earrings!
The first thing I noticed about these was their size! While unboxing, the little “bag” the holds sterling silver pieces couldn’t even cinch shut because of their diameter! For those of you that are unaware, Avon purchased Silpada about a decade ago, who creates all of their sterling silver pieces. Each piece is wrapped in a special tissue that keeps the silver from tarnishing, then packaged in an adorable cinched closed Avon branded velvet pouch before being boxed up like all other jewelry pieces. The velvet bags are always the same tiny size, and I’ve never gotten a piece that caused the bag to not be closed. Enough of that…and onto the review!
While the 1-1/4″ diameter is larger than you’d expect, they are also very narrow in width, and feature a TON of CZ stones! The end result is a classy and sassy set of hoops that can be worn with anything!
Now these sterling silver pieces are much more typical in size. Beautiful, dainty, and sparkly, with a very mid-century mod feel to the design. What’s not to love?
I’m not gonna lie, I was worried I’d hate this. This dress is SO comfy–and, because it’s a swing dress, flattering on all body types! I’m not really a tie dye type, but this piece came across less “hippie” and more “beachy”…maybe because of the color blocking that made it look more like wide bright-pastel rainbow stripes. The colors are absolutely perfect for my “autumn” type color palette. I picked this up in a small, but I can see this working great as a swimsuit coverup (short girls struggle with the maxi dress craze–total trip hazards, and they usually make us look shorter) in a larger size for those summertime poolside BBQs and evening fire pit bond sessions. I appreciate that the length hit just at the top of the knee, too–a great length for everyone. I suspect that this one will be trotted out in warm weather many times this year!
These seafoam gold-speckled pieces are so awesome on their own, but look EVEN BETTER when popping against this dress!! I was seriously bummed out that I only got my teeth cleaned, then worked from home, instead of getting to walk along the shore and enjoy an ice cream cone in a floppy hat–stupid real life ruins my grand plans for living my best life almost every day! BUT, I look like I’m headed to the beach, so just pretend I did. And drool over these great jewelry pieces. Love, love, LOVE them!!
Those are all of the past week’s selfies! What was your favorite and how would you have worn it?!
