Hopelessly Heather

The ramblings and obsessions of a longtime Avon lady

This week I featured daily sale highlights from Avon’s campaigns 9 and 10 as follows:

Sunday’s Highlight:

If you or someone you know has issues with sensitive skin, including eczema and keratosis pilaris, make sure to test out Avon’s Moisture Therapy Derma line. It includes dermatologist tested body lotions and body washes. The Restoring line is formulated with rice bran oil to smooth and boost moisture reducing the appearance of bumpy skin. The Soothing line is formulated with vitamin E and aloe and includes no fragrances or dyes providing ointment-like moisturization. All are on sale now for $6.99 each (regularly $10-$12)!  Continue reading

I closed a chapter in my work history on Tuesday in Avon’s Silvertone Lovely Lariat and one pair of earrings from the Aqua Tokens of Summer Hoop Trio Set.

I wish the lariat chain was about 6-8” longer, but I really like the design…simple and classic.

The hoops are small in diameter – super adorable!

Each Monday I gather up the daily QOTD (Quote of the Day) posts I made for the week that are inspirational, motivational or just plain funny.

Sunday’s Highlight:

You’re more than three-quarters to your resolution of getting more steps in per day and your feet are DEFINITELY paying the price! Get your tootsies taken care of with Avon’s Foot Works Lavender 3-in-1 Pampering Oil! Use it as a soak, cuticle oil or a massage oil – your feet will thank you! Pick up a bottle by mixing or matching any 2 for $10 (regularly $7 each)! Continue reading

Late to the party again in Avon’s mark Blue Belle Blouse (no longer available) and Beachy Beaded Chandelier Earrings (picked up on clearance a long while back)!

The top is cute – I really love the rich color and the braided cords with tassels for the tie, but it has some deficiencies:

1. The crocheted bands are see through. This is great when you’re in your teens or 20s and your boobs and belly are still works of art. I am far from my 20s and the only works of art left on my body are the ones I paint on it every day.

2. The arms are cut too slim. I’ve had issues with this in the past in the mark line – the problem is hit or miss and this time it hit. Wah wah.

3. Because the arms are cut too slim, the top rides up when I lift my arms and shows off my mama belly. Three strikes makes this top land in my future “no, thanks” pile.

The earrings, on the other hand, are a win! They look heavy, but are really only a medium weight. Their light baby blue color draws attention directly to them and they are large enough to see from a great distance. One note of caution: do not wear these with your long tresses left free, particularly if it’s a windy day. The snarls that would occur with these would be epic!
