Hopelessly Heather

Staycationing this week meant a nice, slow start to my weekdays! Monday was grocery shopping and running errands day, which isn’t sexy stuff, but was definitely made sexier in Avon’s Sterling Silver Everyday Necklace and the medium studs from their Sparkling Scroll Earring Set!

When there are multiple charms on a necklace, the smaller charm should not be behind the larger charm.  What on earth were they thinking?!   [insert exasperated eye roll here]  That’s just a serious design flaw–and ruined this necklace completely for me.  On the flip side, the earrings were a lovely surprise!  I thought the earring set was pretty enough, but didn’t really expect much out of it, but the larger earrings are very nicely sized and the medium set (which I thought I’d hate due to the shape) ended up being the first ones I wore!  They certainly brought the sparkle the necklace lacked, but weren’t so sparkly that they looked mismatched with a casual tee.

Tuesday was date night…in a RESTAURANT!! Since this is now considered an event, I got dolled up in Avon’s Pink Glamour 3-Piece Set (ring not pictured)!

There is nothing like a princess set of jewelry to make you feel like, well, a princess!  I really love the combo of black and pink, so this was an easy pick for me to pair with my old school Mark dress (just how old is this thing now?!).  The pink stones were saturated enough with color to really pop, but not so dark that they weren’t noticed.  The teardrop shape is always a winner, and when you encircle the stone with a ton of clear glass stones, it jacks up the class factor!  Three giant hurrahs for elegant and classic jewelry sets!!

I went out shooting with the hubs on Wednesday, and wore Avon’s Birthday Balm Lip Crayon in Surprise—I thought the shade name was fitting!

Every week I try another fab shade in the birthday balm line–and this one was a light mauve, which would look good on nearly everyone!  I mean, look at the pic–it doesn’t even look like I’m wearing a color at all!  Very natural and, of course, all the other terrific benefits of the lip balm were present as well.  My makeup bag is getting pretty cramped with all the fab lip products I can’t seem to part with!
