Just a few more hours in NYC before we fly back home—it’s been terrific! I’m wearing the hoops from Avon’s Pearly Earring Pack.

What I really like about these is the very modern way the mounted the hoop so it hangs statically like a stud earring, but is still very clearly a hoop. The pearl placement also surprises–it’s mounted at the top center of the hoop, rather than swinging freely or being mounted at the bottom of the hoop to prove that gravity always wins. Overall, it’s unique and creates visual interest–it’s purely unexpected. It’s one of the best parts of fashion: showing off accessories that inspire interest, surprise, and delight. This pair of earrings definitely hit their mark.

Vacation is FINALLY here!! Kicking our NYC adventure off in Avon’s Sparkling Grey Pendant Necklace and Drop Earrings!

The photo of the necklace more accurately represents the color of these pieces–I think the earrings were reflecting colors from the sky outside my window. They are definitely grey and on the deeper side of the grey spectrum to boot. While I like this set just fine, there’s nothing particularly special about it–I find it to be a pretty classic Avon set. It doesn’t look high end, but it won’t turn your neck green either. ::shrug::

Monday marked only five more days of work and then vacation!! I broke out Avon’s Grey Autumn Romance Pendant Necklace that I snagged on clearance to kick off the week—it was a rainy and very autumn-y day!

Breaking in the week with the little hoops from Avon’s Mega Hoop and Stud Earring Pack! These hoops are the smallest in the set, but they are certainly not what I’d consider small. These represent a hoop size that falls within my comfort zone…near the upper end. They tick the box in the shine department …

Last week, I let you pick my pedicure! I’ve previously let my readers choose my polishes and the results can be found here, here, and here. Once all the votes from this round were tallied, both Option B and Option C were TIED for the winner, so MY VOTE broke the tie and the winner was Option B, which consisted of Avon’s Gel Finish 7-in-1 Nail Enamel in Envy (this shade has been discontinued) and Avon DDazzlers Top Coat in Show Stopper Copper (line has been discontinued):
